Map: Hajin, the DMZ exclusion zone in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (early access opened Oct 20, 2026). The base map is Activision’s official Hajin Tac Map, and all 137 location icons come from the official map data. Map © Activision / Infinity Ward, used for fan reference. Official Tac Map
Keys: CONFIRMED means the key and its door have been verified. Keys without it are still being checked. Key pins sit on the building’s official icon when the building is known (“building-level”). Otherwise they’re placed at the area (“approx.”). They are not exact door positions.
Grid: The A–I / 1–9 overlay is fitted to known key grids (D7 = Imjin Farmland, F4 = Casino, F5 = Mirae, G6 = NuriGO West…). It’s an estimate. The grid printed on your key is the ground truth.
Music: tap ♪ for an original synthesized ambient track (not game audio).
Share: every pin has a 🔗 SHARE button.

Keys in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ are loot items that unlock a specific locked room somewhere on Hajin. Each key's in-game description names the room and gives a Tac-Map grid square (letters west to east, numbers north to south), but not the exact door, which is why a DMZ key locations list saves a lot of searching. Opening a key room is worth XP, and the rooms often hold weapon cases, recipes, valuables and rare components.
Keys turn up in normal loot containers, as Story Mission and Operation rewards, and from bosses: Activision's Hajin guide says Lieutenants can drop the key to their own personal loot room. Keys are kept if you exfil with them, so a good habit is to check this list, plan the room on your next deployment and pick an exfil close to it.
Higher rarity rooms tend to hold the best rewards. The highest-rarity Hajin keys reported so far:
Hajin has 23 reported exfil sites. Only some are active each deployment and they are marked with green smoke; call the helicopter, then hold the landing zone because exfils are ambush hotspots. See all DMZ exfil locations on Hajin, or use the nearest-exfil button on every key in the interactive map.
Every known MW4 DMZ key door on Hajin is listed on M4DMZKeys.vercel.app with its grid square, area and door description. Each key's in-game description also gives a Tac-Map grid square for its door.
Inspect the key in your backpack to read its grid (for example F4). Letters run west to east and numbers north to south on the Tac-Map. Go to that square and look for the described door.
M4DMZKeys.vercel.app currently tracks 44 Hajin keys, including 16 confirmed. New keys are added every hour as they are reported.

Based on reported rarity, the top Hajin keys include Reactor DRC Locker, Air Base DRC Weapons Locker, Shopping DRC Locker. Rarity is a good guide, but contents vary per deployment.
23 exfil sites have been reported across Hajin. Active ones show green smoke. A full list with grid squares is on the M4DMZKeys.vercel.app exfils page.
Generally yes: in DMZ, what you carry out on a successful exfil (including keys) stays in your inventory for later deployments, and what you carry when you die is lost.
